Rain Forest and Sunrise Bliss

 November 22, 2022

An early morning walk of forest breathing was on the agenda for Janice and me, as none of the other Gaiter Girls was available.

7am view across the valley from Tamborine North.

A trail of only 4 km, took us several hours. It was a morning of looking up, listening, touching, sitting, gazing, meditating and dawdling.

Come forest breathe with me.

Find Janice.

Discovering this painted pebble had special meaning on this day. 'You are important in this world.'

I totally agree with Natassia Cassinero's quote:- "When we walk in a grove of trees or under an open sky the magic of nature takes over and the heaviness of life lifts a little."

The previous morning, the sunrise also gave me a huge dose of happiness. I had woken at 4.30 am and as I rolled over, I noticed a glow in the sky. Sleep forgotten, I grabbed my camera and snapped the ever-changing beauty of the morning.

I would love to read your comment.

  2. You're right: Nature is a "medicine" for what ails you. That sunrise was spectacular. I might have had a neck ache after going on that morning walk with you. It looks like the trees were trying to touch the sky. Beautiful all around!

  3. Kim, I often have a sore neck when out amongst our trees. They are so tall and straight and you can't help but look to their canopy. We are also ever hopeful of spotting a koala, but not in the rainforest.

  4. Makes me want to get out to the forest, but it's 28 degrees (f). Ick. I'll be content with your post.

  8. Lovely forest and lovely sunrise. Your walks look so refreshing but I am sure I would find the humidity too hard to take.
