Uplifting Nature

During the past few weeks of being out and about in our now, amazingly vibrant landscapes, I have been constantly thrilled by nature's abilty to regenerate and flourish.

I hope this collection of photos will lift your spirits at this stressful time throughout the world.

Sunrise from my home.

Mountain view.

Local morning walk.

Moths abound in the long grasses. How many can you spot?

In my garden.

Wetlands walk.

Local parkland.

The golf ponds using my 30 X zoom.

A very brief glimpse of the super full moon.

Celebrating a 70th birthday beside the sea. Calm on arrival. Extremely windy on departure.

The board riders loved it.

A local drive was taken through cane fields to Cabbage Tree Point, on a backwater of Moreton Bay, for coffee and cake with camera in hand. The gale force winds from Cyclone Gretal, far off the coast of Queensland, meant we didn't stay for sunset viewing.

Driving home, towards the west.

Native trees glistening in the early morning light.

Wonderful birdsong walking a suburban street, about 6am.

I would love to read your comment.

  2. I'm with Andy... Although it's your unceasingly positive attitude that I find most uplifting. Love all the bird pictures.

  4. So many beautiful flowers, butterflies, and birds. You are in a blooming paradise. I hope you stay well and can continue your outings. We are in isolation here but still going outside to exercise daily.

    1. The situation is the same here, Barb. Non essential services closed, as are our state borders. Plenty to keep me busy. Staying as positive as possible.

  5. So glad you can still get out into your forests. I will continue walking locally by myself but I'm not sure the hikers will be out and about together for a while.

  6. You're right: A dose of nature's beauty is just what we all need. That blue butterfly and the rainbow were my favorites!

    1. We have had so many more butterflies since the rain, but not like in your numbers.

  7. I will be very interested in seeing the regeneration take place if I can make it to Australia in July. I can only hope that by then restrictions will have been lifted.

    1. I don't think anyone can second guess at this point. Stringent measures have just been put in place. The number of confirmed cases is increasing.

    1. Nature is so resilient. These areas weren't fired affected but were brown and barren from the drought. We are continually amazed at lush everything has become.
