I've recently discovered the wonderful blog of 'Country Mum', a farmer in the Riverina district of New South Wales. She leads a hectic lifestyle on the farm, but she still manages to capture farm events with her camera and adds them daily to her blog - [Farm-ily].

Just recently she entered a photograph in a Sony photographic competition and came third in the macro section. About 40 of these entries are travelling to a number of our capital cities. Yesterday an appointment near the city, gave me the opportunity to take a short bus ride to King George Square, where the exhibition was on display.
After delighting in all the photography, I stepped into City Hall to enjoy a free lunchtime concert. Such a lovely morning.
Congratulations Country Mum for your exquisite web, 'Hanging by a Thread'.
How cool that you got to see the work of a fellow blogger! It is a wonderful photo indeed.
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying her work for quite some time now, and I hope everyone will stop by her site to see how she makes "ordinary" subjects absolutely "extraordinary." Good of you to give her a plug, Helen.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Helen for your most kind words. I'm honoured that you would travel to the inner city for a look at the exhibition. It was pretty exciting for me, as farmer who just happens to take a lot of photos, to end up with one being exhibited like this. And for you to make the journey to see that - that is just so nice. Thankyou.
ReplyDeleteLynda the events of the day aligned well, so it was a great pleasure to view the exhibition. I love photographic shots, especially that of nature.
DeleteThat would have been a wonderful exhibition to see. I'm glad to have both of you as friends across the miles, Helen.
