Wednesday 29 July, Logan Village Rail Trail.
Weather - 10C to 24C, a glorious blue sky and sunshine when the fog lifted.
Six Hungry Hikers enjoyed the peaceful trail. Birds were singing. The wattles and melaleucas in full bloom wafted the air with a honeyed scent. The Banksia men kept watch. The crispness of the morning air highlighted the beauty of the bush surrounding us. 10 km totally enjoyed before returning to Hiker Jayne's home for refreshments.

Thursday - It was my dear friend Pam's 83rd birthday. Pam has lung cancer, and her family are in Sydney, Adelaide and Goondiwindi. I asked Pam where she would like to spend her birthday.
The Redcliffe Peninsula on Brisbane's north side was her reply. Pam had strong memories of her own childhood holidays and later with her own family. It had been quite some time since her last visit, and like so many of our younger years haunts, its face has changed dramatically. Winter again shone brightly, and a perfect day was enjoyed together.
I'm pleased to report that my book project has made good progress this past week, mainly because I have been working on it 24 /7. My deadline of another 2 weeks should be met.
