An early morning walk of forest breathing was on the agenda for Janice and me, as none of the other Gaiter Girls was available.
7am view across the valley from Tamborine North.
A trail of only 4 km, took us several hours. It was a morning of looking up, listening, touching, sitting, gazing, meditating and dawdling.
Come forest breathe with me.
The previous morning, the sunrise also gave me a huge dose of happiness. I had woken at 4.30 am and as I rolled over, I noticed a glow in the sky. Sleep forgotten, I grabbed my camera and snapped the ever-changing beauty of the morning.
Time in nature is everything! So beautiful in that forest and the sunrise…perfection!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to share it with you in person, Marie.
DeleteYou're right: Nature is a "medicine" for what ails you. That sunrise was spectacular. I might have had a neck ache after going on that morning walk with you. It looks like the trees were trying to touch the sky. Beautiful all around!
ReplyDeleteKim, I often have a sore neck when out amongst our trees. They are so tall and straight and you can't help but look to their canopy. We are also ever hopeful of spotting a koala, but not in the rainforest.
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to get out to the forest, but it's 28 degrees (f). Ick. I'll be content with your post.
ReplyDeleteYour temperatures are in contrast to ours, Bill, but I am still enjoying your daily postings.
DeleteI have learned to feel that comforting hug when wandering in the forest! What I get from this day's post is that you and your friend may have needed that! Yes, I see Janice! What tall trees!
ReplyDeleteYes, amazing soaring trees! Not necessarily needed but certainly a boost to our inner soul.
DeleteYour pictures give me a huge dose of happiness. Thank you! The forest is amazing. Those trees! And the sun rising is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted that this post brought you the happiness I felt when I visited the forest, Margi. Our trees in the rainforest are quite magnificent.
DeleteForest breathing! I love it.
ReplyDeleteSo relaxing.
DeleteLovely forest and lovely sunrise. Your walks look so refreshing but I am sure I would find the humidity too hard to take.
ReplyDeleteIt is so much cooler in the rainforest at elevation, Joan.
DeleteWhat a fantastic sunrise! Apologies I've not been commenting although I have been reading all your posts. Blogger won't recognise my WordPress ID
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andy. Blogger and computers can be so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteThe rainforest dwarfs you! I loved seeing that magnificent sunrise, too. Glad you are still out hiking/walking in 2023!
