Celebrating an Unexpected Win.

 Monday 5 July

My friend Jocelyn has been a long time supporter of Queensland's Mater Hospital Art Union. Unknown to her, this last draw included a supporters draw.  The prize an Audi Q3! You can imagine the surprise and excitement when she announced her win,  on one of our regular Wednesday walks.

It has taken several weeks for the big day of presentation to arrive. Joc's sister Leanne was enlisted to drive her to the Audi dealership at the Gold Coast. Sister Marlene and I didn't want to miss the fun and cadged a lift as well, saying we would provide a celebratory picnic lunch.

An awesome day ensued!

Happy days!

I would love to read your comment.

    1. I quite agree, Marie. Our Covid news at present is worrying and our Government's handling of it, woeful.

  3. Great prize--- I am green with envy, but glad I don't have to pay the income tax on it.

  4. Fabulous prize Bill. I assume 'income tax' is the same as our car registration or road tax. It will be approx $560 US. It has been paid for the 1st year as is all servicing.

  6. Youza, Jocelyn!!! Enjoy that Audi. We have a Q5, and I have to watch the speedometer sometimes when Bob drives. It seems to want to go faster than the speed limit!

  8. I have to agree, Sara. The day was perfect to be beside the water and we all contributed to menu. Great was taken to keep the crystal intact.
